Chile equalizes against Mexico in second FIFA friendly

A goal by Daniela Zamora after half an hour of play and the 1-1 away draw of the Chilean national team overshadowed on Monday the debut of the Spaniard Pedro López on the bench of the Mexican women’s team in the capital of the country.
Mexico faced serious difficulties today to create danger against a well-planted opponent in defense.
In the 34th minute, in a move that apparently offered no danger, midfielder Nancy Antonio delayed the ball to goalkeeper Itzel González, made it strong and the ball bounced off her teammate. The confusion was taken advantage of by the Chilean forward to set the 0-1.
After the break, the Mexicans came out with forward lines and created danger with an arrival of Scarlett Camberos, stopped by goalkeeper Antonia Canales, on a great afternoon.
The Chileans, who had lost last week by 2-1 with the Mexicans of America, today firmly controlled their rivals until in the 58th minute Sthepany Mayor assisted Diana Ordóñez to establish equality.
Lopez sent Charlyn Corral, the Spanish la Liga’s 2018 top scorer, to the pitch in the 70th minute, who reappeared with her country’s national team after three years.
Chile pressed. In the 73rd he created danger on a corner kick, but goalkeeper Gonzalez saved the Mexicans.
Corral came close to putting Mexico in front with a left-footed shot from long range, deflected by Canales into the corner.

The Mexican team was left with 10 on the court in the 91st minute due to the expulsion of Jocelyn Orejel. Even so, it ended better, with a shot from Ordoñez, stopped by Antonia Canales.
