White wines are drunk these spring days

The arrival of heat means taking advantage of the outdoor panoramas and enjoying moments with good company. For wine lovers who mark a seal for their quality, flavors and aromas, there is the option of uncorking more whites, whose consumption grows along with higher temperatures.
On the banks of the Rapel River extends Ucúquer D.O. Litueche, a vineyard located just 14 km from the Pacific Ocean, in the middle of the landscapes of the Colchagua Valley. The fresh breezes coming from the sea and the lake refresh the Sauvignon Blanc vines, where this fresh wine is developed, of great complexity and containing aromas of lime and a great minerality; On the palate it is fresh and remarkably intense, with a long finish.

The American magazine Wine & Spirits, in its October version, awarded Gran Reserva Sauvignon Blanc 2019 with 93 points, a recognition that positions it as the best Sauvignon Blanc in Chile of the 2019 vintage.
The vineyard of Ucúquer is an area of high ecological value, because it houses a series of endemic species. For example, 65% of the identified flora belongs to species native to Chile. Even 91% of the identified fauna belongs to species typical of Chile. In addition, within the fauna there is a large percentage of birds, of which 97% are native.
In addition, it constitutes the largest continuous area with forest and sclerophyllous scrub of the central valley and the Cordillera de la Costa. It has 443 hectares planted with vineyards and 487 hectares of native forest.
