AMLO contradicts himself on asking for ‘avalanche of votes’ for the transformation in 2024

Although this Thursday President Andrés Manuel López Obrador asked for an “avalanche of votes” to continue with the transformation movement in 2024, this morning he contradicted himself and assured that he did not remember.
At a press conference, he said the flood of votes is a recommendation for any political party or coalition.
“I didn’t say it was an avalanche of votes, or I don’t remember, for a party,” he said.

President @lopezobrador_ said he “did not call for an avalanche of votes for a particular party.” He mentioned that his recommendation “is that you are not thinking about just winning the presidency.” pic.twitter.com/QDkEXFy0fm

He assured that now you can not only be thinking about winning the presidency, but also have the support of the majority of Congress and the Judiciary, otherwise the president becomes a “vase.”
López Obrador said that in a true democratic system there is the legislative power and the judicial power, not just the Executive as it was before.

“If what is sought is to carry out a project that they do not forget that this project can move if it has the support of Congress and the Judicial Power, if not, they leave the president as a vase, an employee of the oligarchy, who is not going to charge taxes to potentates, who will charge the people; where privileges and inequalities will continue to be maintained,” he said.
AMLO asks for “avalanche of votes”
Yesterday, in his morning conference, López Obrador called for an “avalanche of votes” for Morena, to obtain the presidency and majority in Congress.
“Not only vote for the president, if you want there to be a transformation or the transformation to be maintained, also support him by voting for the candidates for Congress because otherwise they will not do it,” he said.
