The Ministry of Health (Minsal) communicated this Friday a new report on the situation of Covid-19 in our country. In this regard, they indicated that during the last 24 hours there have been 4,274 new cases of Covid-19, of which 2,285 correspond to symptomatic people and 577 do not have symptoms. In addition, 1,412 positive PCR tests were registered that were not positive.
Regarding diagnostic capacity, the results of 27,954 PCR tests and antigen tests were reported, reaching to date 47,118,091 analyzed nationwide. The positivity in the last 24 hours at the country level is 13.79% and in the Metropolitan region it is 13.47%.
Other figures
The total number of people who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the country reaches 4,929,498. Of that total, 12,144 patients are in the active stage. Recovered cases are 4,840,419.
The DEIS reported the death of 26 people from causes associated with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. The total number of deaths is 62,510 in the country.
To date, there are 132 people hospitalized in Intensive Care Units, of which 91 are on mechanical ventilation support. The Integrated Health Network has, to date, 232 critical beds available.
