Nurses mobilize to the Ministry of Health of Buenos Aires

In demand of salary recomposition and professional recognition, the Association of Nursing Graduates (ALE) will march today to the Ministry of Health of Buenos Aires. It will be the second day of the strike for 48 hours carried out by the union organization in hospitals and health centers of the City of Buenos Aires. This situation that places us below the poverty basket is unbearable, unjust and of a labor violence against the enormous nursing collective”. In this way, the union member indicated that the officials of the head of the Buenos Aires Government, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, and the Minister of Health, Quirós, “do not imagine what it is to survive with something of more than 100,000.” For her part, the press secretary of the Federation of Professionals representing ALE, Carolina Cáceres, said that “during the pandemic, the importance of the role of the activity and the need to strengthen the public health system were demonstrated.” Finally, he added: “We work tirelessly, without containment, in a very stressful and very risky situation, while complaining in a thousand ways. But our employer, the government of the richest city in the country, does not take care of us or recognize us.”
