PAMI e-prescriptions continue to work for members

The doctor and manager of PAMI’s Own Effectors, Fernando Ali, said that the electronic prescriptions of this provider, to which four million retirees have access, “are not affected” by the resolution issued yesterday by the Ministry of Health of the Nation, from which the prescriptions made on paper and sent “as a photo” through mail or WhatsApp will no longer be valid. ” It is important to reinforce that, unlike prescriptions that were sent as photos or scanned, the PAMI electronic prescription is still valid and can continue to be used normally, “said the doctor in dialogue with Telam. This is so, he continued, since the agency has “a system that approves those (electronic) prescriptions that are automatically sent to the pharmacy.”
Published yesterday in the Official Gazette, resolution No. 3622/2022 repealed Resolution No. 696/20 of March 31, 2020 that enabled, during the coronavirus pandemic, the presentation in the pharmacy of prescriptions made on paper by medical professionals and sent as a photo or scanned “through messaging applications via web, mail or fax”, indicated the text. Prior to the start of the pandemic, four of PAMI’s five million members “could already access electronic prescriptions that comply with these parameters of security, traceability, verification, storage and identification of unique users.” Access is through the FarmaPAMI system, which requires two steps: the member asks the doctor to make the prescription, which migrates through the system “safely”, and is “stored in the cloud” so that the pharmacy can dispense the medication when it is withdrawn. To obtain it, the person affiliated to the PAMI or a family member must approach the pharmacy only with the ID and credential required.
