Puebla confirms femicide of María Eugenia; There is a detainee

The Puebla prosecutor’s office confirmed that the lifeless body located on January 3 in the foothills of La Malinche, in the municipality of Teolocholco, Tlaxcala, corresponds to María Eugenia Ocampo, an activist and psychologist disappeared since December 21, 2022.
According to the authorities, there is a man arrested as alleged responsible for the events, who worked in the house of María Eugenia, 43.
According to the investigations of the agency, at 8:30 am on December 22, the now detained Vicente “N” entered the house of María Eugenia, whom he deprived of her liberty and then murdered her.

That same day at 9:54 a.m., the man loaded the body into a Nissan X Trail truck owned by the woman and took it to Teolocholco, Tlaxcala, to throw it in a ravine.

The authorities reviewed the surveillance cameras of the subdivision where he lived, giving the identity of Vicente “N”, a bricklayer who days before had done work at the psychologist’s home; In addition, when following the GPS of his cell phone they identified that he made a trip to Tlaxcala.
When the ministerial police arrested him, the man offered them money so that they would not take him, so he was arrested for the crime of bribery and it is expected that he will be charged with the crime of femicide.
