Accident on Line 1 of the Metrobus leaves 10 injured in CDMX

On January 9, an accident was recorded on Line 1 of the Metrobus, at the intersection of Ciudad Universitaria and Dr. Gálvez, which left 10 injured.
The affected unit was heading towards Indios Verdes.
Through its Twitter account, the Metrobus reported that the emergency bodies are on site to attend to the injured.

According to authorities, the accident occurred when the driver of the Metrobus braked emergency before a possible invasion of the confined lane.
“The Metrobus Control Center received an alert at 6:58 p.m., in which the operator notified that derived from a traffic cut he made an emergency braking,” it was reported in a statement.

Authorities have not given further details of the incident.

What happened in the Metrobus happens days after the collision of two trains on Line 3 of the Metro, which runs from Ciudad Universitaria to Indios Verdes. So far, the toll is one person dead and 106 injured.
Prosecutor Ernestina Godoy said that the agency in charge is integrating a serious, scientific and professional investigation to know how the events occurred in the tunnel of the La Raza and Potrero interstation.
“We have immediately developed a research plan that is based on scientific evidence, technical rigor and adherence to the Law, which aims to present the first conclusions as soon as possible,” he said.
