Ainda presented “Te quiero”, love songs in the present tense

“Ainda crosses us as a musical project and as a life project,” said Esmeralda Escalante a few weeks ago in an interview with this medium on the occasion of the release of “Te quiero”, the last studio album of Ainda, the band she forms with her music partner, Yagó Escrivá.The official release was on March 10 although the public had already been able to previously enjoy several of the nine songs that make up the album. However, the great celebration of the birth of this album was this Thursday at Teatro Vorterix, where Ainda celebrated with her fans – faithful, attentive, cheerful – and the colleagues / friends who invited the stage to sing with them. The result was a massive party in which enjoyment prevailed, a friendly and unstructured atmosphere and the joy emanating from his pop songs in which he highlights the vocal talent, the sweetness of his interpretations and the warm lyrics, which reach the heart like the best of poetry. ” I love you, I love you, I love you,” was heard repeatedly in the theater before “Kilometers”, the first song of the night, began in the voice of several people, surely loved ones of the protagonists. The celebration of love in the present tense, in all its forms, was the common denominator of a genuine concert full of joy attended by great guests of the Argentine rock / indie scene. In each presentation Ainda continues to grow, reaping the fruits of more than a decade of work together by dint of talent and passion, with the engine of self-management and freshness that preserves its musical project that is increasingly larger and solid. The first to accompany Esmeralda and Yago were Lola Aguirre and Julia Ortiz, the members of Perotá Chingó, the duo that began their path in music a decade ago almost on par with Ainda but with whom they just made their first song this year and called it “Infinito”. Later came Feli Colina, the fierce Salta who participates in “¿Qué pasa?”, in the words of Esmeralda “the freak song on the album”. Then it was the turn of Facundo Castaño Montoya, one of the members of El Zar who lent his voice and talent to “No te alejes”. In addition to this participation, Facu is one of the producers of “Te quiero”. In the end, when it was time for the farewell, Ainda invited Mateo Sujatovich to the stage, who released with them the song “Adiós”, one of the most heartfelt and successful of the album that has the unmistakable magic touch of El Ruso, a new friend of the duo. Between collaboration and collaboration, Aida reviewed several of her hits such as “Maremagnum”, “Primavera”, “Arriba y abajo”, the solo songs of the brand new album: “Dopamina”, “Tranqui, mi amor”, “Puzzle”; and a hook with their oldest songs, which paved the way for them to be one of the quintessential indiepop bands of the Argentine music scene today. There was also room for a piano solo by Escrivá – who was also celebrating his own birthday and was feted with a “happy birthday” sung by his fans – and a spoken improvisation by Esmeralda. A night in which the band gave themselves all pleasures, thanked their audience for being there with them, invited friends and celebrated love, in all its forms.
