translated from Spanish: Rébsamen’s own trial opened for wrongful homicide

A Control judge linked the process to the director and owner of the Rébsamen College, for her alleged responsibility in the crime of wrongful homicide against 26 people (19 minors and seven adults), who died as part of the campus with the earthquake of September 2017.
“In the extension of the constitutional term, the imparter of justice thus determined the legal status of the accused, who maintained the precautionary measure of justified remand, which must be fulfilled at the women’s Social Rehabilitation centre in Santa Martha Acatitla, “said the high Court of Justice of Mexico City, in an informative card.
“The judge also set a three-month period for the conclusion of the complementary investigation,” he added.

The Attorney-General’s Office of Mexico City recalled that on May 13th he also executed a court order against the owner of the school, for the crime of responsibility of directors of work in his form of owner.
“Every time he allegedly allowed the school to carry out construction work that is out of regulation and of which he was possibly aware that it could not be carried out. The foregoing could have resulted in the collapse of the school and the death of the victims, “said the local attorney.
“For the latter illegality that is imputed to him, the next May 18 will continue the hearing of connection to process.”
