5 questions to Yami Safdie before appearing at the Gamergy

While enjoying the success of his debut album “I said I was not going to fall in love”, Yami Safdie is preparing to be one of the musical acts that will close this Sunday the second edition of the Gamergy. This gamer event will take place on April 7, 8 and 9 in Tecnópolis and is organized by IFEMA MADRID, GGTech and Fenix Entertainment. For those unable to attend the venue, the shows of Yami, Migrantes and Seven Kayne (those in charge of closing) will be broadcast via Twitch on channel @AmazonMusicEnVivo. In this context we send 5 questions to the artist:1. What has been the feedback from the public for your first album?
The truth is that I was surprised. He had his two great hits, “El bolero” with Milo J and “De nada”. Those are the ones that had the most impact and the ones that have reached me the most telling me about those issues. What I heard most is that they felt identified with the lyrics and that was the main objective of the album, so with that I already feel satisfied.2. Your newest single is “De nada RMX” with Rusherking and Micro TDH, how do you feel the answer has been?
There were a lot of super nice comments, it also aroused some debate in people because always, I think, they take affection to a song and make a remix that proposes something new and add new people, there are people who like it and people who do not because they clung very much to the original song.
So I’ve seen a lot of debate on TikTok of ‘no, you didn’t have to remix it’ and others ‘yes, yes it’s great’ but the vast majority loved it.
The objective of the remix was to give it the other look, the masculine one, and show that the story it tells is something that can happen to all of us and has nothing to do with gender.3. At what point in your professional career do you feel you are?
I think I’m developing, at a time when I’m starting to see a little bit the fruits of all the work I’ve been doing these years, that there are always fruits and small achievements along the way, but now everything is starting to happen faster. I’m starting to live things that I’ve been dreaming of for a long time so enjoying and working.4. What can people expect from the Gamergy show, those who go and those who see you on Twitch on the Amazon Music account?
You can expect something new because the whole band is going to be there for the first time playing with me, we are going to play the songs they have already heard and a very busy setting with the screens and the 360 stage. So they’re going to be the songs you already know but with a new twist. 5. What’s next?
Then come many releases that I still can not count the dates but collaborations are coming, and also more live shows in different places so pay attention to my networks that I will be throwing more data.
