translated from Spanish: New trends of sports hydration include drinking beer

whenever we exercise our body must activate mechanisms enabling it to keep r an intensity of work, developing a series of metabolic reactions that elevate the body temperature during exercise.
About 80% of the energy is released as heat and is in these instances where our body to maintain this capacity to work must run actions that allow to lower the body temperature.
“The mechanism more cash from everyone is sweating, therefore losing water and electrolytes through perspiration caused by exercise, must replace these losses through proper hydration, whether for reasons of performance or health. A law which is for anyone to do exercise or sport, of different specialties, in different physical spaces or climates”, explains Carlos Jorquera, sports nutritionist and exhibitor of the day of sports nutrition, which took place this Friday, August 31.
The event, organized by the Association of nutritionists of Chile, showed the effects of sports hydration, new trends and recommendations.
And it is precisely in the area of new trends which are products that were not considered before and that today can be a good element of hydration. It is the case of beer.
“Alcohol is prohibited before, during or after exercise, but today there are types of beers without alcohol, that have certain nutritional contribution and who have something to tell us,” said the specialist.
Jorquera also emphasizes the use of milk as an alternative for athletes, thanks to the contribution of sodium, protein and carbohydrates, which allow a good hydration and stimulation hormone for its nutritional contribution once we finished exercise.
The nutritionist points out that apart from these alternatives, always use as first choice water, but adds that it is good to manage alternative to it. “Water is going to recommend to people that they trained recreationally less than an hour a day, since your sweating is not very significant and sweat is hypotonic, which means that it has a low concentration of solutes, which makes their loss of electrolytes is not so considerable”.
Other options include sports drinks, which designates are an alternative to hydrate before, during and after the activity by the amount of carbohydrates and electrolytes containing them. “Concentrations of carbohydrate suggested for them are between 5-8 grams per 100 ml. and 45-70 mgr. sodium per 100 ml. Every drink brings detailed this information, we only read their nutritional labeled. Today there is a large specificity in relation to them, as for example a sports drink that brought gatorade which is exclusive for players of the club Barcelona, where studies were performed to them from dehydration and based on this individuality created one own drink”, argues.
