Next to celebrate Valentine’s day, the same Foundation launched the campaign “Love free of rights”, with the purpose of vindicating the right of same-sex couples to make visible their love in public, either with acts like walking hand hug or kiss you, without the risk of being abused and discriminated against because of their sexual orientation.
“The aim of this campaign is to invite couples to live their love in the open air, to not be afraid to express their affection in public space,” said the President of the same Foundation, Juan Enrique Pi.
The same campaign will be comprised of two stages. The first corresponds to a mass photo shoot in charge of the national photographer Gabriel Schkolnick, which will be held this Wednesday, February 6, from 18:30 hours on the Esplanade for the aviation Plaza, close to the exit of the station of Metro Salvador in Providence.
The second stage, corresponds to the creation of a photo repository that will be available from who wants to use the photographs.
For the President of the national NGO, the campaign designed by the Agency Prolam is essential, since “invited couples of the same sex to use without fear of public spaces, but also to the rest of the citizenry to be allied of sexual diversity and gender providing safe spaces, where no one is attacked because of their sexual orientation.”
The Chair concluded that this campaign is important for “couples and different families can live without fear,” in a country that “no doubt missing advancing to be a fair and respectful society”.
