The head of Government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum, said that they maintain the search for private resources so that the Formula 1 continues to have activity in the capital, the next years.
“We all want you to follow Formula 1 in the city; What we can not support it as it was supported, because before were 800 million pesos that were paid to Formula 1 (public money) to develop the activity here in Mexico City, “said the President capital.
“The federal government has other priorities today and we are looking for private financing that will allow us to maintain Formula 1 in the city,” he added.
Sheinbaum said they are looking for amateur entrepreneurs, “many people who do not want to go Formula 1 ″, and I think they can support us to stay. We’re in those. ”
According to official data, the first three editions of Formula 1 in the capital left the country and Mexico City an economic spill exceeding 23 billion pesos.
That amount was 600% higher than the amount of public money that had to be paid for the entire event.
