The Minister of Labour, Nicolás Monckeberg, announced that int Ensificarán the control of the salmon industry, following a report that aimed at Chile as the country with the largest number of workers killed in the world.

Monckeberg told Radio Biobío that he will sleep calmly when the accident rates of the industry fall, not only in the silver, but also the sea where “the hardest, most serious accidents occur”.

The ministry said that to date there have been serious deficiencies in the control, especially at sea, which is where the most serious accidents occur.
