Morelia, Michoacán.- The Benito Juárez Zoological Park in Morelia is located in the first four zoo locations nationwide due to the large number of protected species that are born every year inside it.

Recently an average of 50 young were born in the zoo, from flamingos, Patagonian hares, Deer WhiteTail, Antelopes, Deer, Macaws, among others.

“They deal with resources to continue operating, people may or may not agree with zoos, but they are the only ones who make efforts to reproduce species, as in most population sectors their habitats are destroyed,” he said.
 
The director of the Morelia Zoo noted that during the summer they receive an average of 2,400 visitors, in addition to the children who attend the summer courses.
