The seremi of Metropolitan Health, Rosa Oyarce, audited one of the premises of Piccola Italia located in the center of Santiago. After the inspection, the authority opened a summary, as the premises do not comply with sanitary conditions for workers. So far this week, the network has starred in news related to poor working conditions, discussions at its premises and mistreatment by some bosses to shims. Four summaris have been held to date and three are resolved and one in a local premises in the capital for infrastructure conditions. The health authority said the problems at the compound in Amunátegui were structural. There were faults in the bathroom of people handling food and problems with kitchen heating. “Those temperatures did not have the conditions available. The high temperature is due to the malfunction of air extractors and air conditioning,” Oyarce explained. The penalty of the summary will depend on the legal assessment that is carried out, where the fine can be up to one thousand UTM. The same process can take a few weeks, as only next week representatives of the company should go to the Health Seremi. In order for the summary to be lifted, the food room must have the observations indicated to it by the health authority repaired.
