INIFED Director General Jorge Jiménez Alcaraz reported to the head of the PMI, Esteban Moctezuma Barragán, that 836 of the thousand 980 affected campuses in the country’s capital have been fully rehabilitated, representing more than 92 percent progress in the works. In addition, it stated that the remaining 8 per cent, or 144 schools, were in construction, of which 4 per cent were for the Local Institute of Educational Physical Infrastructure in Mexico City (ILIFE), and 4 per cent for INIFED. The schools to be delivered in Mexico City are: 12 preschools, seven elementary schools, one secondary, a telesecondary, and a Multiple Service Center, located in the mayors of Iztacalco, Cuauhtémoc, Miguel Hidalgo, Xochimilco, Iztapalapa, Gustavo A. Madero, Tláhuac, Magdalena Contreras, Milpa Alta, Tlalpan, Venustiano Carranza and Xochimilco., also reported that, in compliance with the instruction of the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, to dignify school spaces and contribute to the strengthening of educational equity, 181 campuses were delivered in the south-southeast region of the country, with an investment of 397 million 900 thousand pesos in the states of Campeche, Chiapas, Guerrero, Quintana Roo, Tabasco, Veracruz and Yucatán.
