Following the good reception of the public during 30, 31 August and 1 September, when thousands of people opted for this means of transport, EFE extended the train service to the O’Higgins region until this weekend. The special trains will be departing on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 September only, at 9:30 am, with arrest in San Bernardo at 9:46, Paine at 10:14, Rancagua at 10:43, Rengo at 11:07 and Pelequén at 11:25 hours. The return from San Fernando will be past 19:00 hours, to stop in Pelequén at 19:11, Rengo at 19:16, Rancagua at 19:40, Paine at 20:09, San Bernardo at 20:37 and finally Central Station at 21:00 hours. The cars arranged are lounge class and have numbered seats, bathrooms, air conditioning, luggage rack and space for packages. The value of the ticket will be $4,790 one way and $7,800 round trip to and from Santiago, while the intermediate sections from Pelequén to San Fernando, Rancagua or Rengo will cost $1000. Tickets can be purchased on the website www.tren.cl or at the central station ticket office from 9:00 to 20:00 hours and for intermediate sections, it is made directly on board the train.
