The government of Michoacán owes 40 million pesos last year to CRIT Michoacán and just over 20 million pesos this year, for operation, its director Tatiana Cruz Lira reported.
In an interview he expressed confidence that the debit will soon be liquidated.
In the meantime, he noted that in order to achieve greater economic resources that allow him to operate and care for children from scratch to 18 who live with some type of disability, they offer services for external patients, through a private model of care in medical consultations and physical therapies, with low costs ranging from 300 to 500 pesos.

“It arises as part of the support that society asks us to provide and open our services, so that they are even cared for as adults.”

External services include language therapy, human communication, rehabilitation medicine, genetics, psychiatry, pediatric neurology, orthopedics and nutrition.
Cruz Lira commented that the CRIT Michoacán currently serves 660 families who have a minor with some type of disability, but since its opening has provided more than 1,500 attentions, in addition to its waiting list totalling about 1,500 people.

“They are children with cerebral palsy, it is the main diagnosis in the child population, even the bulk of the services correspond to physical and occupational therapies, medical and specialty consultations, but treatment is comprehensive because it includes psychological assessment, art and sports workshops, and school inclusion,” he explained.
