The Public Electoral Ministry of the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais has filed charges on Friday against the country’s Tourism Minister, Marcelo Alvaro Antonio, for the alleged irregular funding of the campaign for the elections of 2018.La F Regional islacia accuses Alvaro Antonio and ten others of submitting phantom candidacies of the Liberal Social Party (PSL) to the general elections held last year to capture more financial resources for the PSL election campaign. One of the former candidates for federal DEPUTY for the PSL, Adriana Moreira, told ‘O Globo’ last July that she had received a proposal from an adviser from the Minister of Tourism to hand over 90,000 of the 100,000 reais (about 20,000 and 22,000 euros) she would receive your campaign. According to her, she didn’t accept. In particular, the accuser has attributed to the Minister of Tourism crimes of electoral ideological falsehood, misappropriation of electoral resources and criminal association with sentences of between three and six years in prison, according to the Brazilian newspaper ‘Folha’.
