Members of the Congress of Baja California gave the state government the reform that extends the mandate of the governor-elect, Jaime Bonilla Valdez, from two to five years, in order to be signed and decreed in the Official Journal of the State.
The current governor, Francisco Vega, said in an interview with Azucena Uresti, on Radio Formula that on Tuesday’s afternoon he was given the so-called Bonilla Law, and said he could publish it on October 18.

“I already have it, and as I had said before, I will publish the Bonilla Law under protest. let’s start the internal document review process,” he said in the radio space.
This, after the Special Commission for Citizen Consultation said that 82.5% of the vote was in favour of the extension of the mandate, after the exercise on 13 October, in which only 1.9% of the voters on the roll call participated.
