Disney is already planning a reboot of Pirates of the Caribbean. Why? Maybe because we’re tired of seeing the same story over and over since Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End ended; or maybe because Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales was a complete box office flop. We don’t know, but what’s certain is that money calls money and Disney wants more.
Disney has reportedly reunited with Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the writers of Deadpool and Deadpool 2, to relaunch Pirates of the Caribbean from scratch. In addition, of all the team that formed the saga, Jerry Bruckheimer (producer of the franchise), would be the only one to keep his place.
We don’t know if the reboot will consider a new Jack Sparrow or focus more on something entirely different. If the latter happens, then we could see some known character in the new adventures of the Pirates of the Caribbean.
So far, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick have only begun negotiating their contract with Disney, this means that the new films could take a little and better so because many fans will not be able to get Captain Jack Sparrow out of Depp in a good time from their Heads.
