translated from Spanish: Hire 15,000 Young Fellows Building the Future

More than 15,000 Young Building the Future fellows were already formally hired in the companies where they received training, even before the end of the year for which they were linked by the program, said the Secretary of Labor, Luisa María Mayor.
This represents 1.5% of the million young people who depend on the dependency, 10 months after starting the program, are already enrolled and have received at least the first of its payments of 3,600 pesos per month, which are paid by the government while companies provide the training work.
Find out: There’s competition with crime for winning over young people, says AMLO
According to the president of the Education Commission of the Business Coordinating Council (CCE), Pablo González Guajardo, most companies in that organization have already hired one of their fellows.
The entrepreneur presented as the balance of the program that in the private sector is where 70% of the scholars have entered, and is also where 94.4% of the 157 thousand participating work centers are. This has resulted in 307 million 816 thousand hours of training, he said.
By next year, the Goal of the Secretariat of Labour is to incorporate another half a million fellows, and the ultimate goal is to reach 2.3 million young people who neither study nor work.
In addition, announced Mayor, a kind of second phase, the initiative called “Month 13”, will be implemented, aimed at ensuring a successful transition from youth training to job inclusion through formal employment, self-employment, entrepreneurship, certification of skills or return to study, for which a range of opportunities will be prepared to offer graduates with public programs, social and private sector initiatives.
The secretary headed, together with the CCE and the Mexican Business Council (CME), a delivery of recognitions to the companies that have incorporated the most fellows so far.
Among them is Kimberly-Clark, who two weeks ago faced a network call to boycott it for statements that it would not invest in the short term in Mexico in the face of the economic slowdown, and government policies. Statements made by its director, Pablo González, the same one that on Tuesday praised Young People Building the Future and the government-company collaboration that it has fostered.
“We want to recognize the importance of the actions carried out by the administration of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, headed by Secretary Luisa María Alcalde, who through her leadership, passion and leadership, has managed to get us all sectors let us share the urgency required to implement an efficient and effective public policy,” he said.
