A clash between elements of the National Guard and armed civilians on the Durango-Torreón highway, at the height of the municipality of Lerdo, left two people dead and three injured.
According to the National Guard, the two deceased and one of the injured were aggressors, while the two wounded officers are out of danger.
The unit reported on the confrontation on his Twitter account and added that five weapons were secured at the scene.
