Tennessee, USA–A dance teacher admitted to having unprotected sex with an underage student, despite knowing that he is a carrier of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). This week he avoided trial because of the confession, but the criminal proceedings are continuing. According to information published by US authorities, John Conner III was diagnosed as positive zero during 2012 and met the victim in 2015 through social media, when she was 16.
Later they began to have a relationship, in which there was exchange of erotic messages, intimate photos, as well as sexual intercourse. However, according to Tennessee law, this is considered rape by the age of the teen. Charges
Upon learning of the situation and after conducting the relevant investigations, prosecutors from the district’s Special Victims Unit filed charges against John Conner III for the crimes of sexual abuse of a minor and criminal exposure to HIV.
Conner pleaded guilty to the allegations and will be sentenced on December 20 by a Shelby County criminal court judge, Chris Craft. However, there are two other similar cases against him, of two sexual partners aged 17 and 24.
