translated from Spanish: They make ‘Tetada’ in Museum after mother eviction for breastfeeding

Women came this Sunday to breastfeed their babies at the Museum of Modern Art, in what they called “Tetada”, a mobilization because in previous days a woman was evicted from the museum just for breastfeeding her child.
The organization to normalize breastfeeding, of the Luperca Maternity Center, sent a letter to the Museum, in protest at the eviction that according to his complaint occurred on November 19.
They accused him that the security elements asked him to leave the premises, stating that the Museum’s regulations included a ban on feeding children in the halls, including the bottle.
Faced with the complaint, in addition to apologising for what they called a “misleading interpretation” of its regulations, the Museum agreed to organize the “Tetada” in conjunction with association to Normalize Breastfeeding, and according to the National Institute of Fine Arts was specified in the rules of rooms that breastfeeding is allowed.

The “Tetada”, noted the movement to normalize breastfeeding, would be carried out in the facilities to demonstrate that the Museum of Modern Art is a space where breastfeeding is promoted and allowed.

With the slogan “Lactation and art for all”, concluded the Tetada convened by women’s collectives in collaboration with the @museoAmodernoMX.
It was agreed, as part of this dialogue, to promote awareness-raising actions for staff and breastfeeding days in the premises. pic.twitter.com/mSrpxS2bdL
