The State Defence Council (CDE) filed two complaints against the officials of the 51st police station of Pedro Aguirre Cerda who are responsible for having violated the human rights of at least two people, who were arrested in that unit State of Emergency decreed between 19 and 27 October last year. Complaints were filed for the crime of torture in both cases, which is in addition to the illicit sexual abuse committed against one of the victims. The CDE is “reviewing information regarding causes in which it is looking at the filing of legal actions against public officials who may have participated in the violation of such fundamental rights,” its chairperson said, Maria Eugenia Manaud.On the other hand, the CDE complained against those responsible for the destructions committed on October 17 at the San Joaquin Metro station, where turnstiles broke and some access to the station. This action is in addition to the complaint presented last Friday by the incendiary attacks with Molotov bombs that occurred on November 12 at the entrances of the Baquedano station, and in the construction of a precinct that will house postgraduate courses of the University of Chile, case for which three people have already been formalized.
