Former Bolivian President Evo Morales left Mexico on a flight bound for Cuba on the morning of this Friday, December 6.
Sources from the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs (SRE) confirmed this transfer, although they noted that this is “a temporary journey”.

According to the newspaper El País, Morales seeks to attend the inauguration of Alberto Fernández, as president of Argentina.After the forced resignation of the Bolivian representative on November 10, the Mexican government offered him political asylum, which was seriously questioned by López Obrador’s opponents.
Days later, Bolivian Chancellor Karen Longaric accused the Mexican government of violating political asylum rules by allowing Bolivia’s former president, Evo Morales, to make political statements from Mexican territory.
