Morelia, Michoacán.- For the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Local Congress, Antonio Madriz Estrada, the carriers who demonstrated during last week’s Ordinary Session had no reason to resort to violence, as they themselves had committed to protest peacefully.
It is noteable that the drivers of public transport, led by José Martínez Pasalagua tried to knock down the door of the Legislative Plenary, in the face of the refusal of the chairman of the Committee on Communications and Transport, Salvador Arvizu Cisneros, to lower the point of the agenda on which the Mobility, Roads, Transit and Transport Act would be read.
Madriz Estrada reported in an interview that carrier leaders relied on personal complaints and not on approaches to the law.
“We don’t know what the nonconformity is in a timely manner, given that there were only personal signs, but that’s not objectivity.
Morena’s local MP recalled that Congress will not be closed to listen to the disgruntled, but mentioned that the parties must understand that there may be a discrepancy between opinions.
“They were told clearly that the initiative would not be lowered. There is no justification for the attitude they took. We gave a clear sign of openness and dialogue.”
Finally, it clarified that the request was made in time for the intervention of the public forces to guard the enclosure, but the elements were late and when the complainers had already retired.
