On Friday afternoon, Anonymous released an institution’s archive of more than 2.34 GB of data and documents from 2015 to 2019, related to intelligence, operations, finance and international relations. These files display the names of the Director of Army Intelligence, General Guillermo Paiva; Brigadier General Juan Cristobal de la Cerda; the Army’s Director of Finance, Patricio Veas; and the Army officer, Nicolás Vidal, of the Directorate of International Relations.” The affected email accounts are provided by an external company, being used primarily to relate, share and/or send and receive backgrounds with suppliers or institutions of regular relationship with the Army”. Moreover, they claim that “improper access to these external accounts did not affect the institution’s computer information systems in use” for the “fulfillment of its constitutional functions”. After admitting that they were victims of “cyber criminals,” the institution became tired noted that it “activated its security protocols, providing the appropriate technical measures to prevent further acts of this nature”. And they added that the body initiated an expertise to bring the necessary background to the Justice.Specifically, the leak includes 3,474 emails, 1,340 documents, 401 images, 53 text files, 10 web pages, 9 folders and 3 videos, among others. In the compilation there are press articles, internal newsletters, travel information, notices and court rulings, purchase quotes, seminars and others.
