Three of the children injured by the shooting slammed by a student at the Cervantes School in Torreón, Coahuila, will be discharged on Monday, state health secretary Roberto Bernal reported.
Two other children and a teacher will remain hospitalized due to the condition of their injuries, the official said, according to Reforma.
One of the children, who suffered an abdominal injury, underwent surgery, went out of intensive care and is recovering, the clerk said.
The teacher who suffered a fractured left elbow could be discharged the day after tomorrow, he added.
The Cervantes School student who fired a shooting on Friday in which two people were killed and six others were shot on at least nine occasions, coahuila’s State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) reported.
According to a statement from the unit, nine percussive shell casings were found at the scene, including eight .40 caliber and a .25.
