The Secondary Student Coordinating Assembly (ACES) announced that new demonstrations are already being coordinated against the University Selection Test (PSU) to be held with a new date on January 27 and 28. It will be on this occasion that students who were unable to take the exam in the first instance will be presented, due to protests in the educational venues. All this, as the organized students called for the development of an emergency method for admission to universities, arguing that “there have been more than 10 generations that have been fighting for the end(…) this discriminatory and segregating test can never be performed again.” According to Cooperativa, ACES spokesman Victor Chanfreau said that “in coordination with hundreds of assemblies and organizations nationwide to see what that day is going to look like, in terms of the mobilizations to be carried out.” However, it indicated that this measure may not be effective “unless they announce that they suspend the PSU for the implementation of an emergency method”. Both dates are expected to have greater police reinforcement, the government said, in order to stop the scenario that took on January 6 and 7.
