Morelia, Michoacán.- The decision to join the Institute of Health for Welfare (Insabi), could be made next week, once the agreement with the federal government is reconsidered, so disclosed by the Secretary of Health in the entity, Diana Carpio Rivers.
The owner of the SSM detailed that the agreement was being reviewed in the Ministry of Finance and Administration, so that the secretary of that unit, Carlos Maldonado, and the secretary itself decided to sign either accession or non-accession.
Diana Carpio clarified that if Michoacán is not included in the new federal health scheme, it does not mean that the entity is left out of the health services offered by the Federation.
“There is a confusion, they think that the issue of the firm can prevent us from applying the Model of the Insabi in Michoacán, it is only the transfer of movable and real estate that will take a long time.”
That is why he recalled that the governor, Silvano Aureoles Conejo, prefers to wait for the process of change of scheme to be more mature throughout the country, and stressed that it is about the first level of care with health promoters , ensure doctors and nurses in mobile units and all health centres, as well as strengthen with specialists in hospitals and free care if it would occur.
