Morelia, Michoacán.- The government of Michoacán will not adhere to the scheme of centralization of health services of the Federation, so if it will sign an agreement with the National Institute of Health for Welfare (Insabi), but in the modality of “non-centralization”, so confirmed by the governor, Silvano Aureoles Conejo.
Health resources will come to the entity, as the federal government must distribute the matter budget equally to all states, however, it will be the state government that administers those resources.
Aureoles Conejo’s justification for rejecting centralization with Insabi are the results that its administration has had, among them the rescue of the infrastructure, the supply of medicines and the balance of the economy in that area.
When it came to government, there was a million-dollar deficit in the health sector of more than 1.5 billion pesos, covering wages and benefits, plus a debt with third institutional on 3 billion pesos.
“We were able to bring the health services to order.”
To say, the state representative, the centralization of resources, would mean that the federal government would take over the public health of Michoacán, as the operation would be handed over to the government of the Republic.
