translated from Spanish: Women demand AMLO with justice against femicides at National Palace

Women show up at Palacio Nacional to demand from President Andrés Manuel López Obrador justice for all women victims of femicide.
Women reject that the representative would rather speak of the plane’s raffle than femicide at his morning conference.
They also rejected that media outlets will publish Ingrid Escamilla’s photograph of femicide.

“With water, the blood is not cleaned,” was one of the women’s slogans, after a water mechanism was activated to prevent the #PalacioNacional door from being set on fire.

“This is what matters to them, not our lives,” they said of the shots that make means of pints.
The women painted on the walls and threw balloons with paint and tried to spray fire to one of the Marian doors. However, this activated the fire mechanism it has and swerved the paint.

On the door step of #PalacioNacional wrote “Feminid State”, and demanded the press for profiting from the femicides, for the publication of the photograph of Ingrid Escamilla’s body in some media.

Women and feminist collectives called for a day of protests to demand justice for the femicide of Ingrid Escamilla, a 25-year-old woman killed by whoever her partner.
These protests are born after Mexico City authorities leaked photographs of the body of Ingrid Escamilla, who was skinned by her partner.
The filtering and publication of the images by means re-victimized Ingrid and her family, and also created outrage on social networks, from where it was called to mobilize this February 14 and 15 in different cities of the country.
This Friday, La Prensa posted on its cover that it “does journalism and is open to discussion, accepts mistakes and knows how to listen”.
“We have modified languages and adjusted coverage according to legal guidelines. We understand today that it has not been enough, and we have entered a deeper review process. That’s where we’re at. We will have to approach social actors who give us ideas and validate every decision we make. The commitment to report remains intact. We owe it to our readers and we will continue to move forward.”
