Health authorities in the state of Querétaro confirmed the first case of coronavirus-COVID-19 in the entity, adding eight cases in the country.
According to the State Health Secretariat, he is a 43-year-old man who lives in Spain and traveled to Mexico via Mexico City International Airport (AICM), then relocate to Querétaro by car to visit his relatives.
The subject had symptoms, so they had the tests and were positive. Upon diagnosis, the patient is isolated in his or her home, where authorities report it stable and under observation.
“Your close circle of people has already been identified – which is limited to their parents – and according to protocol they will be followed up to 14 days, in order to rule out or treat additional cases,” the state unit explained.
The secretariat called on citizens to participate actively for the containment of the disease, taking into account the preventive measures that have been disseminated by the authorities at the federal level.
