As coach of the Dolphins, a 26-year load, he managed to carry out the team in five Super Bowl finals and win two of them, as well as the only perfect season in NFL history. Before the Doplhins he spent seven seasons with the Baltimore Colts, which he commanded performed well, which twisted when they lost the third Super Bowl to the New York Jets.Three years later, in 1972, he led the Dolphins to victory in the seventh Super Bowl and repeat the following year.
In 1972, Shula and the Dolphins became the only team in NFL history to complete a perfect season, i.e. no loss. They scored 17-0 and the Miamense team keeps that record to date. Shula retired in 1995 as a living NFL legend, having been the most-matched coach to his credit and the most controlled victories: 347.
