translated from Spanish: Johnson acknowledges British frustration at de-escalates and asks them for patience

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson admitted on Sunday (17.05.2020) the British’s frustration at the slow de-escalation of the COVID-19 pandemic, but asked them for more patience.
In an article in his authorship published in Mail on Sunday, Johnson said he relies on the common sense of the British to comply with the measures to control the coronavirus and thanked them for following them as the next steps are evaluated.
From Wednesday, people in England can leave home for physical exercises more than once a day and meet outdoors with someone other than their family background, as long as they maintain physical estrangement, but the executive asked people to work at home if they can and not use public transport to prevent contagion.
“I understand that people will be frustrated with some of the new rules. We are trying to do something that has never had to be done before: to remove the country from total confinement in a safe manner and without risk of sacrificing all the hard work,” the prime minister says in his article.
The measures do not extend to the other British regions (Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland), as the regional authorities have decided to maintain quarantine, which means that you can only leave home to buy food and drugs, to help a vulnerable person or to exercise.
“I recognize that what we are asking for now is more complex than just staying at home, but this is a complex problem and we must rely on the good sense of the British people,” Johnson added.
On the other hand, the British government on Saturday announced an investment of 93 million pounds (106 million euros) to accelerate the opening of a new centre that can produce a vaccine on a large scale if scientists discover one against coronavirus.
