Apatzingán, Michoacán.- Since the first patient admitted on April 23 to the Apatzingán General Hospital, 35 people have been able to return with their families after passing COVID-19, thanks to the care of the team of this unit of the Secretariat of Health of Michoacán (SSM).
Day and night, medical, nursing, chemical, social work, mayoral, stretchers and paramedics work to provide patients with the best care, making use of all available resources.
The municipality of Apatzingán is located in Bandera Amarilla -high risk of contagion-, with a record of 256 confirmed cases, of which 91 remain active and 23 people have lost their lives, mainly due to complications such as obesity, hypertension and diabetes.
Health authorities reiterate the call to the population to implement self-protection measures with which they will be kept safe as long as there is no cure or vaccine against the disease, such as the use of mouth cover, healthy distance, washing or constant disinfection of hands and not touching the face, since the virus enters the body through the mucous membranes of eyes , nose or mouth.
To reinforce the actions, the mobile sampling unit is located on Constitution Avenue of 1814, in the Center, next to the Municipal Presidency, where the citizenry can approach to be diagnosed by the specialists in charge.
