Elon Musk says the new Tesla Roadster may include spaceX-manufactured gas thrusters. In this way, their two companies would combine to apply aerospace technology in a street vehicle.” These rocket engines dramatically improve acceleration, top speed, braking and cornering. Maybe they’ll even let a Tesla fly,” Musk himself said just over two years ago. The Roadster would incorporate up to 10 of these thrusters. Slave Poposki, visual effects expert and aeronautical engineer, created what this technology would look like applied to the Roadster.
This is how fast 1.1 seconds 0 – 60mph take off should look like with Space X package thrusters on the Tesla Roadster. Computer worked out physics and then visualised in a render animation. Not sure how much gas but threw the effect in anyway. Enjoy @elonmusk #tesla #spacex pic.twitter.com/VzMukQPT2E — ıʞsʌodoԀ ǝʌɐlS (@Pslavi)

He explains that the acceleration physics were calculated and determined by his computer, which were then captured in a CGI animation. The result is impressive speed on the part of the new Roadster, accelerating from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 1.1 seconds, according to the estimates of the video manager. It would mean that the model with thrusters would be almost twice as fast as the numbers mentioned by Tesla for the “standard” model of its next electric supercar, given that the company said the Roadster could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.9 seconds.
