The Mexican Baseball League (LMB) announced the cancellation of the 2020 season in order to ensure the health of fans and players. 
In a statement, the LMB reported that the decision was made following meetings between the 16 LMB equipment owners and federal health authorities and state governments.

The LMB highlights that this is the first time, in its 95 years of existence, that will make changes of background, so they aspire to return next year with a version never seen before.
Last May the LMB announced that the 2020 season would begin on Friday, August 7, as long as the appropriate conditions existed to do so.
