The Basilica of the Sagrada Familia, located in Barcelona, Spain, received the health staff after more than three months of closure by the pandemic. This was as a tribute and thank you for the work of health professionals during the pandemic.
Today, the Sagrada Familia reopens its doors!

After Madrid, Catalonia was the second most hit community by COVID-19: 62,057 total cases and 5,673 deaths. Immediately below, castile and León are located, with 42,304 fewer cases. One peculiarity of the Sagrada Familia is that it is not yet finished. Designed by Antoni Gaudí in the nineteenth century, in the middle of 2020 its construction was hampered by the pandemic. Now, in addition to reopening its doors for healthcare professionals, construction work on the Basilica also resumed.
While the first to step on it were part of the health workers, casual visitors were also able to enter.
