65 minors have been located and in five cases the search remains active. Those who have not been located are: Jesús Antonio, 9 years old, who disappeared on February 11 in Culiacán; Elena Monserrat Balcázar Denis, 13, who was last seen in the municipality of Mazatlan on 22 June; Kevin Eduardo Ontiveros Reynoza, 16, from whom he stopped knowing his whereabouts on June 22 in the port of Mazatlan; Jorge Luis Verdugo Tapia, 17, the last time his location was known on June 27 in Culiacán; and Silvia Maribel Vidaña Vicente, 12, whose location has been unknown since June 30, who was in Guasave. The municipalities where the most Amber Alerts were made were Culiacán, with 38 cases; second is Guasave, with ten cases; and thirdly Mazatlan, with eight cases. In some cases minors have left their homes because they are stressed by confinement, others because they have problems with their parents and find it difficult to follow the rules; there have also been cases of their leaving their homes because of psychological and even physical violence, said Margarita Urías Burgos, executive secretary of the State System for the Protection of the Rights of Children and Adolescents.
