Morelia, Michoacán.- Through an interview in the city of Morelia, the federal deputy Ignacio Campos Equihua reported that, according to data from the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP), Michoacán has received in a timely manner the federal shares contemplated in the 2020 Egress Budget, so there is no reason why the municipalities did not receive these resources.
It reported that at the meeting held on 9 July 2020 with municipal presidents of all political parties, he indicated that the meeting aimed to explain to the mayors that the commitments had been fulfilled since the Federation; since, according to SHCP reports, Michoacán has received more shares so far this year than in the same period of 2019.

“The idea is to have a meeting with the Secretary of Finance, Carlos Maldonado Mendoza, so that the mayors know more precisely how these participations are taking place at the state level and, if necessary, know why they are not getting to the town halls; because, as several municipal presidents have told us, they are not receiving these shares since January of this year.”

Finally, it noted that in the event that there was indeed any decline in its holdings due to a decrease in federal collection, the Federal Entity Income Stabilization Fund (FEIEF) would come into force, which ensures that municipalities receive their resources as scheduled; “so they would be reaching the coffers of the state about 700 million pesos, to remedy any budget declines.”
