Science in caricatures
“This will be a very entertaining experience that will seek that children discover the enormous amount of science that is inserted into their favorite cartoons, and that despite there are many myths and mistakes as well, we can take advantage of them to learn what we really know about the universe so far,” explains Robbie Barrera, professor and course ternist.
“Cartoons, or animated monkeys as they said in my day, are an essential piece of childhood. Robbie will take advantage of the playful part of them and put it at the service of knowledge, children will have a great time learning,” says José Maza, Head of the Communications Area of the CATA Astrophysics Center and the 1999 National Prize for Exact Sciences.
The course will be taught at 11:00, on july 20, 21, 22 and 23.
The activity will feature 4 classes and will mix astronomy, science and cartoons.
