translated from Spanish: TEPJF rejects Muñoz Ledo accusations of alleged bribes to magistrates

The Electoral Tribunal of the Judiciary of the Federation (TEPJF) rejected the accusations made by the federal deputy, Porfirio Muñoz Ledo, about alleged million-dollar bribes received by magistrates.
On Monday, on his Twitter account, Muñoz Ledo commented that he congratulated MP Mario Delgado on his aspiration for the presidency of Morena but demanded the lack of support to the current party president, Alfonso Ramírez Cuéllar, in the application rejected by the TEPJF to extend his mandate to the pandemic by COVID-19.

“I protested the lack of support to Ramirez Cuellar in his litigation with the TEPJF, whose magistrates have offered million-dollar bribes to vote against him.” Cannons “friends and high corruption”, wrote Muñoz Ledo.

In a virtual conference with the deputation of Morena, I congratulated Mario Delgado on his aspiration for the presidency of the party and urged him to leave his position as President of the Jucopo in the House to avoid conflict of interest. 1/2

Muñoz Ledo’s accusations were answered by the TEPJF, which “categorically rejected any allegation that calls into question the honorability and honesty of the Magistrates and Magistrates who make up this institution.”
In the tweet, the TEPJF stated that the decisions of its judges “are strictly legal, in accordance with the Constitution and applicable laws”.
He invited any citizen he deems appropriate and has the evidence to state otherwise, “to report to the body he deems relevant”.

On 19 August, Ramírez Cuéllar requested the TEPJF for an extension of more than one year to carry out the internal process of renewal of the management.
The president of Morena sent a trade to the Superior Chamber in which he argued that COVID’s pandemic is a cause of force majeure that has made it impossible to organize the internal election.

Sources of the leadership of Morena and the Electoral Court confirmed to Animal Político that Ramírez Cuéllar requested that the extension of his term be extended up to 90 days after the district of the intermediate elections of the coming year, which will take place on 6 June.
However, the TePJF’s Superior Chamber decided not to grant such an extension and even noted that Ramirez Cuellar obtained the party’s presidency illegally.
In the face of this, the internal election process will have to continue and on 6 October Morena will have a new national leader.
