The latest figures provided today by the World Health Organization (WHO) indicated that global cases of COVID-19 have exceeded 33 million, after more than 302,000 new contagions were recorded in the previous 24 hours; while the dead had reached 996,342, and were expected to play the million in the coming days.
Health agency data showed that the Americas continues to concentrate half of cases, with nearly 16,500, while 6,810,494 contagions are confirmed in Southeast Asia Asia, in contrast to the world’s least affected Asia Pacific region, with 604,576 detected.
