Michoacán.- In an operation of the Attorney General’s Office of Michoacán held in the neighboring state of Jalisco, the alleged femicide of the young Jessica González Villaseñor was arrested.
This was confirmed by the state attorney general, Adrián López Solís, this through his official Twitter account (@Adrian_LopezS), in which he disclosed: “I report that a few personal moments ago @FiscaliaMich stopped Diego Urik “N” likely responsible for Jessica’s Femicide.
“At this time the procedures are carried out to make it available to the Control Judge who claims it. We remain firmly committed to justice,” the official published.
Government contacts told this news agency that the indefate was apprehended in Jalisco.
In the past days, the Michoacán Attorney General’s Office offered a million pesos for information that led to the arrest of Diego Urik. He also sought the support of the country’s prosecutors’ offices to assist in their location and arrest, as well as international authorities such as Interpol.
Jessica Gonzalez disappeared on Monday, 21st, and was found lifeless and with signs of violence on Friday, February 25 of this month, following her death several feminist protests were unleashed to demand justice.
