Search and rescue operation begin
Once it’s apparently over, dozens of people began a search-and-rescue operation to help people under the shelves, which contained hundreds of products. Minutes later, teams of firefighters, police and paramedics arrived at the site, coordinating the operation. Rescuers were yelling at the victims buried under the shelves to tell them where they were, ringing their mobile phones or making some noise in order to be located. At least 270 firefighters participated in this operation and lasted approximately 11 hours ending until a day later in the morning.

The authorities’ report indicates that one person lost his or her life, six had to be transferred to a hospital for medical care due to the severity of their injuries and two other victims suffered minor injuries.
